Radek Špicar, M. Phil.

Vice president, Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic
Radek ŠpicarVice president of the Confederation of Industry and Director of the Aspen Institute Prague. Former Deputy Prime Minister for Economy and later a member of the management of Škoda Auto. Lecturer at the Institute of Economic Studies, Charles University and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He chairs the Board of the University of Applied Arts and is a member of the Corporate Council Foundation Forum 2000. Among the topics that has been involved in belongs economic diplomacy, corporate social responsibility, cultural industries and benefits of think-tanks and NGOs. He graduated from Charles University and the University of Cambridge.

PhDr. Ing. Ondřej Landa, CSc.

landaFounder and CEO of the Prague-based management consulting and executive development firm Inventa Ltd. His consultancy and training projects focus on strategy development and deployment, corporate culture transformation, organizational change and innovation management, human potential development.

Member of International Academy of Management, a board member of EMA European Management Association, councillor of the American Management Association´s International Council, member of The Conference Board´s European Council on Innovation. He is the current chairman of the Czech Society for Strategic Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Graduated from University of Economics, Prague, Charles University, Fulbright Scholar with Harvard Business School.

Ing. Rut Bízková

Rut BízkováGraduated from the Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague, and began her career at the Nuclear Research Institute in Řež. She spent three months in 1993 with the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, before being appointed press spokesperson for the coal power plants of the ČEZ Group, the Czech Republic’s major power generation company. Her first government post was as the Environment Ministry’s Director of Public Affairs; she held other posts within the ministry until 2004. Then moved to its subsidiary CENIA (the Czech Environmental Information Agency). In 2006, from CENIA’s deputy directorship to the post of deputy environment minister in 2006, and remained until a full ministerial appointment. Currently, chairperson in the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic.

Ing. Martin Srholec, Ph.D.

Martin SrholecEarned his Ph.D. degrees in Economics (2003) from the University of Economics in Prague, Czech Republic and in Science, technology and innovation studies (2005) from the University of Oslo, Norway. From 2002 until 2010 he was based at the TIK Centre, University of Oslo, Norway. Since 2010 he is a Senior Researcher at the Economics Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, CERGE-EI. Since 2011 he is also Associate Professor in CIRCLE, Lund University, Sweden. He has published in Industrial and Corporate Change, Journal of Economic Geography, Regional Studies, Research Policy, Review of World Economics, World Development and other journals.

He joined Lingea in February 2014 as an International sales manager where he’s responsible for communication with and sales to foreign clients and for international marketing.

Lingea is a leading language book publisher in Central Europe but also a developer of language and speech technologies as well as online and mobile applications. Lingea operates in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Hungary and Serbia and it is growing both horizontally and vertically.
